I discovered Tessa from Sewspoke over a year ago and instantly loved the polished feel of her makes – they’re elegant and edgy all at the same time. Tessa is an architect by day and her eye for design is evident in her makes. I’m itching to recreate her hacked Nikko dress and vintage Simplicity Trench Dress! But my new absolute favourite make of hers is this beautiful Trevi Dress in Mannine fabric!
What she made.
Tessa chose the Trevi top and dress pattern by Hey June Handamde.
I love this pattern for it’s versatility, ranging from casual to formal, work or weekend ready, depending on the fabric you choose and how you style it.
The trapeze shape and the high neckline of this dress really allowed the Mannine fabric to shine. The result is this holiday-perfect dress! One that’s comfy and adventure ready but can also take you to a beautiful dinner gazing out at that amazing sky too.
For all the info on Tessa’s make and this fab pattern, head over to her guest post on the Hey June Handmade blog. But before you go, get to the bottom of this post, we’ve got something super exciting to share!
The Botanica Park Pink Polka Dot fabric is a polyester with a beautiful crepe hand. In all it’s lightweight, drapey-goodness, it’s so lovely to work with.
Designed by Manri Kishimoto of Mannine, it has so much detail – the more you look the more you see. With plenty of space for the eye catching polka dots, it also features lots of Mannine signature characters. Characters inspired by foxes, swans, donkeys, chickens and more are scattered across it. Each one wearing garments made from Mannine fabric!
The print exudes Mannine’s signature wit. Her designs are all fabout colour and fun.
