Bright and fresh, painterly fabric by Japanese boutique design house, Kayo Aoyama.
“I gathered small flowers and leaves into a circle and painted them in watercolor. Crisp yellow, soft cream, the green of young leaves and a lush green gradation come together to please the eye. From afar it looks like large dots but as you come closer or cut the fabric into smaller sections you get a different perspective.” – Kayo Aoyama
Designer Kayo Aoyama spent years studying and working in Scandinavia and now lives and works in Tokyo. Her varied experience translates into a beautifully unique and fresh style all of her own.
The freshness of the florets, leaves and seeds are captured in watercolour. The Colour palette of yellow and yellow-green on a white background gives this print an airy yet vibrant feel.
